About us

Lanarkshire dog training council has seven member clubs serving our local North and South Lanarkshire communities. The clubs all do Road Safety related Obedience Training. Your dog will learn to have good manners towards people and other dogs.

All our clubs are non - profit making and run by dog lovers who give their time voluntarily, to educate and help members of the public to be responsible dog owners, and to have happy well trained dogs.

In the beginners class your dog will learn to walk on a loose lead, it will learn to sit on command, to do recalls and to stay in a sit or down position. When both you and your dog are ready you will be able to sit a test and then move into the intermediate class.

When your dog has passed the beginners test you can then go on to the intermediate and then advanced classes where the work gets a little bit harder. Your dog will learn to walk to heel without a lead, do more advanced recalls and more advanced sit stays and down stays.
